The most difficult time I have is a continued 8-hour rest period. I try to quiet my spirit in order to obtain a restful night, but there is always the last minute "thing I gotta do", or "remember what I have to do in the morning...". So, why can't I get a good night's rest? Well, I believe the last thing you do, or think about, before you go to bed, becomes the lasting thought through-out your rest. In order to combat my lack of continued sleep, I am now attempting to create levels of assurances, positivity, and love before I lay my head down to rest. For example, I am currently writing a novel, so I am attempting to write 20 minutes a night. I am currently teaching bible study, Sunday School, and am the San Francisco Bay Area Coordinator for the International Dance Commission. What these three assignments have in common is the Word. I know that we can do all things through Christ that strengthen us, so I read from the Word in order to strengthen my relationship with God and within my assignments. I also add to my daily reading, Company Keepers: Dance Ministry Daily by Rekesha Pittman, and Grace for the Movement, by Max Lucado. Because we have so many stimulants that can deter us from our purpose, it is important that we keep my mines on the ultimate prize. Oh! first you must know what is your purpose. How do you find it, and if you know your purpose, what are you doing to grow within the Devine's plan for your life? Knowing mine is to honor God through creative forms of communications, you can observe my considerations through my blog talk radio (www.blogtalkradio.com/sumatra), my information webpage (www.sumatrablogtalk.info), and now within this blog space. So may I please pose this question to you? "How often do you wake-up through the night?" What wakes you up?...Is it your purpose, your promise?...Is it your worry, your inability to control what is not for you to control?...Whatever it is, I would like to suggest that stop for a moment, let the Voice speak to you, and then try God.
