Today I've come to a better realization that my tasks are more difficult than my assumptions. Like me, do you sometimes feel that you can complete everything you placed on your "To Do List?" Yet, by the end of the day, only one-third has been completed. A new day comes along, and you awakened with the assumption that "This day, I'm gonna finish everything I set out to do." Half-way through the day, you realize that you only completed one-third of your list.
Don't despair. You've got the "I can do all things through Christ that straighten me" ambition. While we do know we can do all things through Christ, it is quite admirable on our part to put so much on your plate. Instead of filling our plates with so much "to do", perhaps we should stop to listen what Christ really has assigned for us to do. What better way to give Him the honor, instead of thinking that we know what is best for us to do to honor Him.
I'm not just talking to you, but to myself. Remember, I started out succumb to the realization that I put too many pots on the stove with just two hands to stir them all. So while I know "I can do all things through Christ..." I do understand that I must be mindful, and at times, just wait for instruction. While a watched pot never boils, a pot without enough water will burn the stew.
I think the next thing I'll put on my "TO DO LIST" is just wait on the Lord.
