Saturday, September 11, 2010, the International Dance Commission, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter celebrated its first Annual Liturgical Dance Day at First AME Community Church, 2915 Willow Pass Road, Bay Point, CA 94565. While to audience was small, the spirit of God was powerful.
DJ Watergate kept the spirit stirring, as he selected spirit-filled music throughout the day's dance worship. Valetta Thompson of Shiloh Baptist Church, Sacramento, CA willed God's blessing through African and scriptual dance. Young artists, Kah Rah Arts, of South Sacramento Christian Center displayed an array of flag worship that truly displayed how flagging can break strongholds. Kah Rah Arts member, "Just Krisofer" presented a powerful solo ministry that moved everyone to praise.
Ministry, Vessels of Praise gave God praise through performance ministry that made all who witnessed were forced to consider how they treat their community members. Blessings feel down when Clare Dolan Shahakar from Calvary Christian Center, El Sobrante,CA allowed the Holy Spirit to use her, as she ministered into a realm of holy offering.
IDC Coordinators, Eunice Parks and Loretta Green-Williams extended their offerings as well as IDC San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Assistant, Ellora Diehl and her daughter prophetically ministered to those present. While Chaznee Brown, Director & Founder of The Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation of the East Bay was present to extend added information about the importance of understanding how Sickle Cell affects our communities.
Senior Pastor of First AME Community Church, Rev. Michael Permillion indicated how the program blessed the Bay Point community and welcomed IDC to be a part of the FAMECC family worship opportunities.
